Lufthansa lists The Irishman in first lounges

German airline Lufthansa has added Walsh Whiskey Distillery’s flagship super-premium expression The Irishman 12 Year Old Single Malt to its first class lounge spirits list.

With the listing, almost 500,000 passengers and guests will have the option to taste the non-chill filtered Irish whiskey each year.

The expression is made from 100% malted barley and aged in first fill ex-Bourbon barrels.

According to the brand, the whiskey offers nosing and tasting notes of vanilla, cinnamon, citrus fruit and honey.

“The selection of The Irishman – 12 Year Old Single Malt by Lufthansa for its First Class Lounges is reflective of the high standards of our respective businesses,” said Walsh Whiskey Distillery managing director, Bernard Walsh.

“We are delighted that all Lufthansa First Class Lounge passengers now have the opportunity to savour this exceptional expression as they relax on their journey.”

In February, Walsh Whiskey announced it has secured listings with UK retailer Marks & Spencer for its The Irishman Founder’s Reserve and Writers Tears Red Head releases.
