Charles Edge takes Scots Gold cocktail focus to TFWA AP

British-based Scotch whisky bottler Charles Edge London is to showcase its Scots Gold blended Scotch brand at the TFWA Asia Pacific Conference & Exhibition in Singapore through signature cocktail serves.

Scots Gold’s Oriental Gold serve, to be presented at TFWA AP

The brand will be available on the Diverse Flavours stand (D34), along with two cocktails developed in partnership with Mizunara: The Library bartender, Masahiko Endo.

Oriental Gold is a tea-centred serve which marries Scots Gold’s “nutty and citrus” notes with Jasmine tea, while Dr. Gold balances the tasting notes with almonds and Manuka honey.

“These signature cocktails have been created with a limited number of ingredients, easy to source and to mix, yet exotic and appealing to encourage new consumers to try Scots Gold,” said Melanie Broye-Engelkes, head of brand development at Charles Edge London.

“Alongside with a small recipe booklet to hang around Scots Gold’s bottle neck and social media activation, the signature cocktails are an attractive and cost-effective promotional tool for airport shops.”

Also on stand will be Scots Gold 8 Years Old, a premium blended Scotch presented with a new bottle and label.

“The square cubic bottle design with its long bottle neck, perfect to add bespoke communication supports such as charms or small booklets, combined with the label, reworked for more touch and feel, offer a premium and contemporary look,” Broye-Engelkes continued.

“It will reinforce Scots Gold’s shelf presence and attract consumers of other spirits, as they don’t necessarily expect a Scotch whisky in this type of bottle. With the Charles Edge monogram engraved in the cap, it is the first building bloc of our future Charles Edge Spirit Collection.”

Scots Gold first partnered with Diverse Flavours to appear at the TFWA World Exhibition in October 2017.

The TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference takes place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore from 7-11 May.
