SB Voices: A new look for a changing spirits sector
Eagle-eyed web readers may have picked up on some subtle changes to SB.com this week – Kristiane Sherry intros a new look for digital and print which will better meet the demands of an evolving spirits industry.
How do you digest news? I know that for me, web and social media are at the forefront of how I keep up to date with goings on, both in spirits and the wider world. And while there are challenges in being so hyper-connected to the news through smart phones and other devices – anyone else feel like they’re being wildly reckless by just switching off from time to time?! – there are absolutely benefits to having such ready access to the latest developments, especially in such rapidly changing times.
Which is why we’ve started the process of revamping thespritsbusiness.com to become a fully responsible, mobile-friendly entity. We are all busier than ever, yet it’s become increasingly critical to keep abreast of the changes that shape our industry each day. From the increasing demands of ever-more discerning consumers to shifting legislative demands against a backdrop of geopolitical and economic uncertainty, accurate, insightful and timely reporting has never carried greater importance. And now, through better accessibility, a cleaner design and smarter navigation, you should find it much easier to access this vital content through our web platform.
We’re still learning, and you will notice small tweaks and further developments as we further optimise the site in the coming weeks – but I hope we can now better serve and support you and your business through thespiritsbusiness.com.
And we’ve not forgotten our monthly magazine! I am proud and excited to share with you a new look for our print title in our May edition, set to be published next week. In line with our new web design, expect a more spacious feel and a cleaner layout with clearer navigation so you can better locate the insight that matters to you.
