Tanduay named Brooklyn Nets rum

Philippines-produced Tanduay rum has signed a multi-year partnership to become the official rum sponsor of US basketball team the Brooklyn Nets.

The sponsorship deal also covers the Barclays Center, the multi-purpose indoor arena where the team plays its home games, and that often hosts music and other entertainment events.

The deal comes as Tanduay looks to boost its business in the US.

Tanduay the world’s second-largest rum brand and has been produced in the Philippines since its launch in 1854.

Last year, Tanduay launched Millennial-focused premium expression Tanduay Select, appointing Filipino actress Jessy Mendiola as the face of the accompanying “I Deserve This” campaign.
