Danzka The Spirit gets AsPac roll-out

Waldemar Behn will showcase super-premium vodka Danzka The Spirit at the upcoming TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference as it seeks to ramp up regional distribution.

The super premium vodka will see regional distribution ramped up

The vodka was first launched at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes in October, and was subsequently a focus in Orlando at the IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas which took place this week.

The “totally pure vodka” was created using traditional vodka distillation methods. It was developed by Rüdiger Behn, a fourth generation distiller, along with Timothy Jacob Jensen, chief designer of Jacob Jensen Design with the aim of combining distilling with Scandinavian design traditions.

Bottled at 44% abv, the expression uses raw wheat as a base material for a “pure, substantial and slightly grainy” finish. The Spirit is presented in a matte black, sleek, modern evolution of its aluminium bottle.

The expression is currently exclusively available in travel retail channels, and has already been listed with King Power, Gebr. Heinemann, Dufry, Lotte, Shilla and Dubai Duty Free, with more to be announced in throughout the year.

Behn is enthusiastic about the outlook for 2017, following on the company’s positive results last year. “Promotions featuring the new Danzka communication platform were extremely well perceived and accepted,” he said.

“We featured Danzka with Dufry in Bali for the high season months from October to February 2017 as well as Heinemann Sydney in December 2016 and we will support the brand and the promotion further throughout the year.”

Behn’s primary goal for the Asia duty free market in 2017 is to continue to increase the regional distribution of core brand Danzka and further the progress of Danzka The Spirit.
