Ardbeg tackles rugby ‘man of the match’
Premiership Rugby’s Anglo-Welsh Cup man of the match winners will now receive a bottle of Ardbeg 10 Years Old from the Islay Scotch whisky distillery.

The man of the match accolade is bestowed the best performing rugby player at the end of each game.
Immediately after each match, which is broadcast live on BT Sport, the man of the match’s highlights will be screened on Premiership Rugby and Ardbeg’s digital channels, the participating clubs’ social media platforms, and an e-player with an estimated audience of five million rugby fans.
Ardbeg will also have a presence at other key events throughout the Premiership Rugby season, including at the Aviva Premiership Rugby Final at Twickenham on Saturday 27 May.
The Anglo-Welsh Cup format is in its 11th season and features 12 English clubs plus the four Welsh regions.
“Having overcome an uncertain future in the 1980s and 90s, Ardbeg has a real sense of enduring spirit and is now the world’s most highly celebrated Islay single malt whisky,” said Ali Wilkes, brand director for Ardbeg UK.
“Ardbeg and the Anglo-Welsh Cup are ideal partners to celebrate the Man of the Match presented by Ardbeg for showing the same true grit and heroic enduring spirit.”
Ardbeg’s partnership with Premiership Rugby follows a busy 2016 when activity included the launch of a 21-year-old expression to mark “one of the most turbulent times” in the distillery’s history.
