Seedlip expands overseas footprint with US entry

Non-alcoholic distilled spirit Seedlip has signed a distribution agreement with importer Mikuni Wild Harvest and will enter the US market for the first time.

Through the new partnership, and through working with “respected ambassadors” in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Seedlip will be available in a selection of Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury retailers, five-star hotels and cocktail bars in the US.

Seedlip was launched in London last year as the “world’s first” alcohol-free distilled spirit. In July, Diageo-backed and funded accelerator programme Distill Ventures confirmed it had invested in the brand.

In October, the brand announced it has signed an export deal with The British Bottle Company as it targets “accelerated” expansion across Asia.

“The last 12 months have been a whirlwind and bringing Seedlip to the USA this December is a huge milestone for us as a small company,” said Seedlip founder, Ben Branson.

“With our ambassadors in California and the experts at Mikuni Wild Harvest we are excited to bring Seedlip to more customers at the very forefront of the food and drinks industry.”

Two Seedlip products are currently available: Seedlip Spice 94, with characteristic spice and citrus notes; and Seedlip Garden 108, a herbal blend.
