Chambord signs up Uden as brand ambassador
By Kristiane SherryBrown-Forman-owned raspberry liqueur Chambord has appointed London bartender Matt Uden as its latest UK brand ambassador, effective immediately.
Brown-Forman has appointed Matt Uden as a Chambord brand ambassadorUden has held a number of high profile positions across the London bar scene, including spirits manager at The Shrub and Shutter.
In his new role, his primary responsibility will be to educate the trend on what Chambord is, and how best to serve the liqueur.
Key to this will be pushing the ‘Just Add Chambord’ campaign, targeted towards the on- and off-trades, with the Chambord Royale sparkling serve a central feature.
In addition, Uden will support Chambord’s consumer activations in order to drive brand awareness.
“We are delighted to have Matt join the team and it is a really exciting time for him to be on-board. We have just enjoyed our biggest ever month, selling more Chambord throughout November 2016 than throughout the entirety of 2009.
“With Matt’s wealth of knowledge and with our ‘Just Add Chambord’ campaign we are confident he will be able to further demonstrate Chambord’s versatility and ability to elevate a glass of fizz into a fun and exciting cocktail.”
According to Brown-Forman figures, November sales figures for Chambord were up 73% year-on-year.
In recent times, Brown-Forman has been forced to rebuff rumours it is planning to sell off the liqueur as it seeks to focus on its whisk(e)y portfolio.
