A family of four brother and sister entrepreneurs have launched a £35,000 crowdfunding projectFelix Elliott-Berry, along with sisters Clarice and Cicely, and younger brother Digby, are hoping to raise enough funds to move from a makeshift distillery into a new home spacious enough to house extra fermenting tanks and a new boiler and still.
The team, who are all under the age of 25, are asking for pledges ranging from £10 to £1,000 – each of which comes with its own reward – and have until 25 October to help them to smash their target.
Sibling currently share space in their parents’ micro brewery in the heart of Cheltenham, where they make their own neutral alcohol from scratch before adding botanicals such as Madagascan vanilla, blueberries, orange and lemon – all of which are vapour-infused.
Since launching, Sibling’s production has increased threefold, meaning that demand for the gin is now outstripping supply.
Felix said: “We are a very young company, so we do not have the cash reserves to fund a new distillery entirely by ourselves. By crowdfunding, others will have the unique chance to be part of a very special project.
“If we reach our £35,000 target, the new distillery will be created, along with a tasting room – enabling us to host distillery tours and private parties. We may even be able to create a bespoke new bottle too! We would be thrilled if the community – and beyond – gets behind us.”
