Bache-Gabrielsen expands US Cognac offering
By Annie HayesThe house of Bache-Gabrielsen has added three Cognac variants to its US portfolio as the brand continues to build “significant” momentum in the “critical” market.
Bache-Gabrielsen has added to its US portfolioAfter making its US debut earlier this year with the launch of American Oak, the family-owned Cognac house has added Tre Kors, XO Decanter and Sérénité to the market’s portfolio.
Tre Kors is a blend of 25% Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne and 75% Fins Bois Cognac, while XO Decanter is aged for an average of 25 years in Limousin oak casks.
Sérénité is the “most premium” liquid the brand currently offers; a rich Grande Champagne Cognac crafted Folle Blanche and Ugni Blanc grapes.
“We’ve carefully identified these forthcoming offerings for the US market; each one plays an important role in showcasing who we are as a company, as well as brings unique flavor profiles to the category,” said company president, Hervé Bache-Gabrielsen.
“Tre Kors has a particularly fond place in our hearts, as it pays tribute to how my great-grandfather originally found success by selling cognac to pharmacies in Norway during their prohibition.
“The three crosses on the label represent the former medicinal symbol. He was known for his creative instincts and today, we continue to strive for his visionary intellect.”
Tre Kors will retail for US$29.99, XO Decanter for US$99.99 and Sérénité for US$169.99.
The expressions will be available nationally and are imported and distributed by The Winebow Group.
