World of Zing targets £150,000 investment

Bottled cocktail producer World of Zing is aiming to raise £150,000 (about US$195,000) on crowdfunding platform Crowdcube, claiming demand for its products is now outstripping supply.

World of Zing has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube

Offering a total of 15% equity to investors, the company will use the funds to build new production facilities and grow its sales and marketing teams.

World of Zing claims that if its crowdfunding goal is met, it will generate £2.5m in revenue and £535,000 in profit within three years.

Launched by Pritesh Mody in 2014, the firm specialises in bottled cocktails as well as food innovation products such as spices and sauces, both developing products in-house and collaborating with third party ‘artisans’.

In March last year, World of Zing partnered with drinks consultancy firm Fluid Movement to launch the UK’s first aged and bottled cocktail range exclusive to the on-trade.

The company had previously teamed-up with Tom Aske and Tristan Stephenson, co-founders of Fluid Movement, to launch a range of pre-batched cocktails in the off-trade.

World of Zing claims that it has delivered more than 50,000 cocktails in the last six months alone.
