The Coyote Ugly Saloon in Germany
The Coyote Ugly Saloon is aiming to open on 12 October, in the heart of Cardiff city centre, at the site of the former The Square nightclub.
The bar is based on the 2000 cult film Coyote Ugly – which centres around a chain of popular American bars of the same name.
The film’s scantily clad bartenders, known as ‘Coyotes’, are often found singing and dancing on top of the bar.
The popular US bars are well-known for their western-themed style and rowdy atmosphere, with 21 bars in locations including US, Russia, Ukraine and Germany.
The Cardiff bar will take up the entire length of the back wall and will feature a craft beer bar with 24 different types of draught beer at the front of the building, whilst an American BBQ will serve food from 12pm -10pm.
The bar will also hold a VIP section and 40 booths for hen and stag parties. Sport fans will be able to watch the latest matches on a television screen that will take up the whole back wall.
With a capacity of around 900 people, the bar will also feature a stage for live music and a bucking bronco.
