Diageo-owned Captain Morgan has expanded its innovation offering with the launch of Captain Morgan Jack-O’Blast – said to be the first pumpkin-flavoured spiced rum on the market.

Captain Morgan Jack-O’Blast is thought to be the first pumpkin-flavoured spiced rum on the market

It follows the 2015 launch of Captain Morgan Cannon Blast – described as an  “intensely delicious shot” and is a mix of Caribbean rum, natural flavours and a “bold spice blend” of citrus, chipotle and jalapeño pepper.

Similarly, Captain Morgan Jack-O’Blast targets the shot market and features a round bottle design – resembling that of a pumpkin. The variant is a blend of Caribbean rum, fresh pumpkin, cinnamon and other autumnal spices.

“As much as we enjoyed tropical cocktails over the summer, it’s time to make room for the bold flavours of fall everyone enjoys,” said Linda Bethea, vice president of Captain Morgan.

“Captain Morgan Jack-O’Blast is a must-have for responsible adult consumers during their favourite seasonal activities, whether it’s at football tailgates, Halloween parties or backyard bonfires with friends.”

Bottled at 30% abv, Captain Morgan Jack-O’Blast will be available across the US for a limited time over the autumn period at an RRP of US$15.99.

Diageo recommends the beverage is enjoyed as a chilled shot, or as part of a seasonal mixed drink.

I live in San Jose, CA (95118) and can not find this product anywhere. Where can I buy it? I’ll order on-line if needed and have it shipped. Looking for several bottles. Just love it!
