anCnoc Scotch adds Stack to Peaty Collection
By Amy HopkinsHighland single malt Scotch brand anCnoc is set to extend its Peaty Collection with the launch of Stack at Whisky Live Paris later this month.
Stack joins anCnoc’s Peaty CollectionSet to be unveiled at the show on 24 September, Stacks joins six other expressions in the range: Peatlands, Tushkar, Rutter, Flaughter, Cutter and Rascan, the most recent addition to the range that launched in October last year.
In line with theme of the collection, which is named after the names of traditional peat cutting tools, Stack refers to the last step in the gathering process, where the peat blocks are stored together to dry ahead of being burnt.
It has been matured in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels for more than 10 years and possesses a phenol content of 20 ppm.
“We’re excited for the release of Stack as it complements the existing collection perfectly,” said Stephanie Allison, anCnoc brand manager.
“Whilst Peaty connoisseurs will revel in its smooth smoky notes, we would encourage all whisky connoisseurs looking for something different to explore this beautifully crafted expression.”
Just 6,000 bottles of anCnoc’s Stack have been produced and will be released exclusively in Western and Eastern Europe later this month before becoming available in Scandinavia from 21 October.
The whisky, produced byu the Knockdhu Distillery, carries an RRP of £52.00.
