Bloom Gin have unveiled the Bloom Gin Rooftop Bar at Broadway on the top floor of Broadway House, with views over south west London’s skyline. Open from now until mid September, the rooftop bar offers an upmarket lounge experience with food and drink from the Broadway House menu and three Bloom Gin cocktails: Broadway in Bloom, French 75 and Bloom Perfect Serve.

The first Night Tube services has launched on the Central and Victoria lines today, with services on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines following in autumn. The Night Tube will offer a 24-hour service on Fridays and Saturdays, letting Londoners explore the city’s late night bars and clubs without dashing off for the last train.

London’s ‘first’ naked rooftop bar, a venue overlooking Parliament Square, has opened to coincide with the forecast of a mid-August heatwave. The naked haunt offers an open-air bar, relaxing sunbathing areas and even the chance for a quick work-out with a bounce on a trampoline or a round of swing-ball.

Black Cow Vodka’s pop-up Black Cow Saloon returned for the 2nd year to bring a taste of the foot stompin’ Wild West to the West Country at the Port Eliot Festival in Cornwall. The event featured live music from the saloon house band, The Flats and Sharps, rockin’ rhythm n’ blues from Sister Cookie, boogie woogie piano from Henri Herbert, alongside a host of guest players and DJ’s playing country and blues till dawn.

Plymouth Gin has partnered with the Rivington in Greenwich to create the Plymouth Gin Dock – a nautical themed terrace serving a series of neo-classic and modern gin cocktails. Running until 18 September, guests visiting the Plymouth Gin Dock can treat themselves to a series of specially created gin cocktails, inspired by the rich maritime heritage of Greenwich.

Last night, Wray & Nephew held a Notting Hill Carnival Warm-Up party, the industry-only party took place at Shutterbug in Shoreditch from 10pm with cocktails, DJs, dancing and jerk ’til late.

Stop by Tredwell’s new ‪Grey Goose terrace in Covent Garden to enjoy the newly created Le Grand Fizz cocktail range whilst chilling to live jazz. Open until early October, sit under the blue and white striped parasols, fruit trees and nautical inspired décor, and soak up the summer soiree atmosphere while people-watching on these long hot summer nights.

It’s been a busy week for SB as we hosted the Luxury Masters competition, a blind tasting of whiskies, gins, rums, Cognacs and liqueurs. Held at London’s 100 Wardour Street yesterday, judges were put through their paces with more than 50 spirits to taste.

The battle to become one of the world’s best bartenders is on and last night at the Diageo Reserve’s World Class competition heat in Miami, Andrej Malic of Celebrity Cruises saw off competition from thousands of cruise line bartenders from three of the world’s leading cruise lines to be crowned one of the best bartenders at sea. Held at Diageo 396 bar, Malic was crowned Diageo Global Travel’s ‘best bartender’.

Last night was the launch of the G’Vine-yard at Dalloway Terrace – a two-month terrace takeover hosted by G’Vine gin. The launch night took place at The Bloomsbury, just two minutes from Tottenham Court Road, where guests had the chance to sample the range of G’Vine signature serves and cocktails.

Four Uber users and their plus-ones will be whisked off on a private jet to a secret party hosted by vodka brand Absolut today. The competition forms part of Absolut’s #AbsolutNights campaign, which shows the best nights happen out of the blue. The winners will be picked up from central London and taken straight to the airport where a private jet will be waiting to whisk them away for 24 hours of “fun and spontaneity”, with a film crew on-board to capture the action.

The 42Below Cocktail Earth Cup – a competition focused on using sustainable ingredients – is set to have its final showdown in Queenstown, New Zealand next week. The final will see five Australian bar teams from five venues flown to New Zealand to compete head-to-head with five of their Kiwi rivals.

At the recently concluded 6th Asia Best CSR Practices and Sustainability Excellence Awards held at Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore, Dubai Duty Free walked away with the awards for Best CSR Practices and Best Community Action.
