Billed as a “snapshot in time” of the Tasmanian whisky industry, The Tasmanian Collection is said to showcase the “terroir and subtleties” gained from maturation in varied surroundings.
Tasmania Distillery said they expect their single cask, TD0776 to yield between 25 and 30 bottles.
The initial release of 15 bottles from the Tasmania Distillery, presented at 46% abv and non-chill-filtered was offered from the Sullivans Cove website at AU$250, but has already sold out. Consumers are encouraged to contact other participating distilleries for further details.
Last year, the group of whisky producers called for a geographical indication status to protect the Tasmanian industry from counterfeiters.
