Slingsby launches Navy Strength for Cowes Week

Spirit of Harrogate has released a Navy Strength Slingsby Gin line extension to coincide with Cowes Week, the annual Isle of Wight sailing regatta.

Spirit of Harrogate has released a navy strength line extension

Bottled at 57% abv, Slingsby Navy Strength Gin continues the tradition of the Royal Navy’s “proof test”, whereby gunpowder can still ignite if gin was accidentally spilled on it.

The release is presented in a black glass bottle and follows the September 2015 launch of Slingsby London Dry Gin, presented in signature blue glass.

Marcus Black, co-founder and managing director of Slingsby Gin, said: “This time last year, our unique interpretation of a classic London Dry Gin was meticulously designed with our customers at the very centre of the thought process.

“We are continuously innovating and no detail has ever been too small. Customers are invited to step inside the Spirit of Harrogate to relax, socialise and sample a range of Slingsby Gin variants created by our in-house mixologists. The Navy Strength is proving ever-popular and we thought what better timing than to bottle our new variant just in time for Cowes Week.”

Spirit of Harrogate is sponsoring Ladies’ Day at Cowes Week, which runs from 6-13 August 2016.

Slingsby Navy Strength Gin is available in a 70cl format with a retail price £52.99.

Slingsby London Dry Gin recently featured in Hotel Café Royal’s fragrant cocktail menu, developed in partnership with Parfums Givenchy.
