Beam Suntory launches 10YO Bowmore in TR
Beam Suntory Global Travel Retail (GTR) is following up its acclaimed Devil’s Cask series with the launch of a limited edition, travel retail exclusive 10-year-old expression.
Beam Suntory is following up its acclaimed Devils Cask series with a travel retail exclusive 10-year-old expressionAvailable in European and Asia Pacific TR stores from late September to December 2016, the oloroso Sherry- and red wine barrique-influenced single malt Scotch expression plays on the story of the devil on Islay, the island where the distillery is located.
The expression features liquid matured in both ex-oloroso Sherry casks and ex-red wine barriques, married together to create a “velvety” liquid.
The dry oloroso Sherry is said to contribute dark, fruity aromas with tasting notes of figs and raisins, while the red wine “injects a fiery twist” with “dark chocolate fudge” and “spicy dark fruit” flavours.
Bowmore 10 Year Old limited edition is bottled at 46% abv, and retails at €65 for a 1 litre bottle.
Beam Suntory released its “third and final” Devil’s Cask expression in October 2015, completing its much-lauded series of limited edition offerings.
