Highly respected travel retail industry figure Duncan Lawley has passed away at home following a battle with cancer.

Duncan Lawley has passed away at his home following a battle with cancer

Duncan worked with retailer ARI as Delhi Duty Free Services managing director from 2013 to early 2016. Prior to that he served as general manager at CTC-ARI, overseeing the retail operations at both Larnaca and Paphos airports.

He started his successful travel retail career in the 1980s and has held senior positions at The Nuance Group, World Duty Free, WH Smith and ARI around the world.

In a statement, ARI CEO Jack MacGowan said: “Duncan will be remembered with great fondness by everyone at ARI and his many industry friends for his warmth, good humour and professionalism.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Helle, his children Alexandria, Rosie, Esther and Oscar and his extended family and friends at this sad time.”
