Spirited Awards 2016 winners in pictures

Blended whisky brand Chivas Regal once again hosted some of this year’s Spirited Award winners at its intimate pop-up photo booth.

Following the announcement of this year’s Spirited Awards at Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, The Spirits Business has been given exclusive access to some of the best pictures from the booth.

In a ceremony that saw the UK dominate the international categories – including the ultimate World’s Best Bar accolade – names from all corners of the industry were recognised by their peers.

The excellent team at ABV in San Francisco were awarded the Best American Bar Team Spirited Award this year. The venue has become as famous for its fun, warm and gregarious atmosphere as its impeccably crafted drinks.

Chivas Regal’s very own Max Warner won the Best International Brand Ambassador Spirited Award 2016. A former bartender himself, Warner joined Chivas Regal in 2004 and now advocates the brand’s entire range to top bars and bartenders around the world.

Hidetsugu Ueno, of Tokyo’s revered Bar High Five, is one of the best-known names in the industry and this year won the coveted International Bartender of the Year Spirited Award.
