Tito’s announces distribution in Russia
By Amy HopkinsTexas-based brand Tito’s Handmade Vodka has appointed OVO Spirits as its distributor throughout Russia, with an initial focus on the on-trade.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka will now be distributed in the Russian marketOVO Spirits will begin distribution by focusing on the key hotels, bars and restaurants frequented by “world travellers” before entering the off-trade by way of premium alcohol boutiques.
“We are excited to introduce Tito’s Handmade Vodka to the Russian market and are proud to partner with OVO Spirits for distribution,” said Bert “Tito” Beveridge, founder and master distiller.
The Texas-based vodka brand is already available in the US, the UK, Europe and Asia, as well as through United Airlines and American Airlines.
Robert T. Greco, business partner of OVO Spirits, said: “Selling imported vodka in Russia is like selling snowballs to Eskimos. That said, we are up to the challenge of positioning Tito’s Handmade Vodka as the leading ultra premium imported brand by reaching the discriminating Russian vodka fans.”
“The core customer for Tito’s Handmade Vodka will be the type of individual that finds pride by having the distinction of appreciating experiences other than just Russian,” added Irina Korableva, who is also a business partner of OVO Spirits.
Tito’s Handmade Vodka is bottled at 40% abv and will be available to consumers in Russia initially as a 700ml bottle.
