Sidney Frank restructures US team

Sidney Frank Importing Company has reorganised its commercial team in a bid to “better align” operations with its US distribution partners.

CEO Jeff Popkin has led a restructure at Sidney Frank

The wholly-owned Mast-Jägermeister subsidiary will now incorporate seven businesses into three regions, each led by a vice president or general manager, reporting to CEO Jeff Popkin.

Under the restructure, Michael Fuchs, currently divisional VP of the Southeast, will lead the new Eastern Region; Greg McCauley, divisional VP of Control States, will lead the Western Region; and Jeffrey Colbert, most recently vice president, managing director central commercial business unit of Bacardi USA, will lead the Central Region.

In addition, Steve Bellini, executive VP business intelligence/trade development has been appointed senior VP distribution and control states strategy, also reporting directly to Popkin.

Meanwhile Mike Glennon, VP, national accounts, will lead Jägermeister’s U.S. National Account and Chain Market team, reporting to Colbert.

“We’re pushing decisions closer to the local level and empowering our three commercial leaders to work more closely with our distributor partners,” Popkin said.

“The goal is to drive our business at a faster pace and in much better rhythm with the local marketplace.  The majority of positions we’re adding are at the local market level.”

Jägermeister completed the acquisition of Sidney Frank, its former US importer, in August 2015, appointing Popkin CEO in December 2015.
