Scandlines opens Absolut Elyx spaceBy Kristiane Sherry
Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Europe and border store retailer Scandlines have opened a new retail space for super-premium vodka Absolut Elyx at the Scandlines BorderShop in Puttgarden, Denmark.
The display area has been completely redesigned to make use of standout visual effects and retail technology to communicate the Absolut Elyx brand story.
A copper motif is displayed throughout the area to educate consumers on the copper distillation process behind the brand, and to create association between production and the vodka’s copper bottle design.
“The Absolut Elyx showcase at the Scandlines BorderShop is just one of many projects where we are extremely happy to have Pernod Ricard Travel Retail as a partner,” said Kerim Lindved Aydin, senior vice president, Scandlines.
“This is a key example of our mutual ambition to explore new ideas and possibilities and we hope that we can continue this in the many years to come.”
In 2015, Scandlines transported 7.6 million passengers, 1.8 million cars and 0.5 million freight units. Its 8,000 sqm store at Puttgarden, on the ferry route between Denmark and Germany, is one of the largest border stores in the world, serving more than 700,000 customers per year.
Absolut Elyx is available throughout Europe travel retail at an RRP of €49.50.
