Pyat Ozer recruits Leo lookalike for ad

Alcohol Siberia Group has signed up a Leonardo DiCaprio lookalike to star in an advert for Pyat Ozer (Five Lakes), the seventh biggest vodka brand in the world.

Pyat Ozer has signed up a Leonardo DiCaprio lookalike to star in an ad based on “fakes”

Roman Burtsev, the Hollywood actor’s doppelgänger, has been recruited for the local vodka commercial, which opens with the line “one day you realise your life is but a fake”.

In the advert, Burtsev depicts DiCaprio with his “fake” BMW, iPhone and girlfriend, with the only authentic aspect shown to be the vodka itself.

Burtsev rose to prominence in his native Russia in the run-up to the 2016 Oscars, with the 33-year-old a regular feature in the coverage of the events.

However, he seems less than enamoured with the American actor. “He got an Oscar? So what?” He is supposed to have said after this year’s Oscars, according to Hollywoodreporter.com.

“This is just a useless piece of metal. Leo doesn’t have the most important thing, which is a family.”
