Bar Convent Berlin to expand 2016 show
By Amy HopkinsTrade show Bar Convent Berlin (BCB) is set to expand again this year with an additional hall, expanded lecture programme and bigger stages.
Bar Convent Berlin has grown rapidly since its launch in 2007
Taking place from 11-12 October at Station Berlin in the German capital, the show is now in its 10th edition.
This year, more that 280 exhibitors and 10,000 trade visitors are expected to attend BCB, which will feature the UK as its partner country. Event space at the show is now almost completely booked.
UK exhibitors include Fentimans, Funkin, Hayman’s gin and International Beverages, while international exhibitors include Beam Suntory, Gruppo Campari, Mast-Jägermeister and Pernod Ricard Deutschland.
This year will also see the BCB exhibition take place across six halls for the first time, with the Mixology Stage and Food Hall moving to Hall 5, providing more space for the dedicated coffee area and Brew Berlin.
“Both segments are growth markets at the trade show enjoying growing interest among visitors,” said BCB.
Last year, BCB welcomed a record number of visitors and exhibitors following the show’s acquisition by Reed Exhibitions.
Speaking to The Spirits Business in 2015, BCB’s co-founder Helmut Adam announced plans to launch editions around the world, starting with China.
