Alacran Tequila rolls out extra añejo offering
By Annie HayesIndependent Tequila brand Alacran Tequila has added an extra añejo expression to its product range.
Alacran Tequila is launching new Alacran XA
The new ultra premium offering, Alacran XA, is made from 100% Weber Blue agave between 7 and 10 years old which is harvested in the highlands of Los Altos in Jalisco.
It is matured for 40 months in American Oak ex-Bourbon barrels, and offers “fruity and oak” flavours with a “Cognac” finish that is “dry, smooth, full bodied, and warm”.
To ensure the quality of the product, each bottle is hand labeled and numbered.
The suggested serve for Alacran XA is as a sipping Tequila or on the rocks, but it can also be used in a cocktail.
It retails for US$49.99 and is sold in select lounges and restaurants, as well as in stores and online.
