The Serpentine Gin will only be available at the new eatery, which launched at London’s Grosvenor House hotel on 21 June with an English Garden Party-themed evening.

Created with botanicals including bay laurel, in addition to plants found in both the Sussex countryside and Hyde Park, The Serpentine Gin is said to offer a “classic floral bouquet”.

At the Park Room launch, guests sampled a range of gin cocktails, made using Blackdown Serpentine Gin, along with Sussex Dry Gin, Silver Birch Vermouth, Blackcurrant Liqueur, bitters and mead, all produced at the distillery.

“We are delighted the Grosvenor House has commissioned Blackdown to craft their own gin exclusively for the Park Room,” said Sarah Thompson, founder and distiller at Blackdown Distillery.

“As a diverse small craft producer we are able to take the time and create bespoke, exclusive products for our customers. The Serpentine Gin, is one of a few projects we are currently working in collaboration on, exciting times are ahead for us.”

Blackdown Distillery is a family-run business dating back to 1985. It is located at Blackdown Hill in West Sussex, within the South Downs National Park.
