Mr Fogg’s bartender wins 2016 Galvin Cup

Peter Nguyen, bartender at Mr Fogg’s Residence Mayfair, has triumphed at the 2016 Galvin Cup.

The annual cocktail competition, organised by the UK Bartenders Guild (UKBG), saw 29 bartenders gather to compete for the £1,500 purse.

Held at London’s Hush Bar and supported by Montenegro Amaro Italiano, competitors were tasked with creating three cocktails to be presented in front of a panel of judges.

First up was the signature serve, followed by the bartender’s own creation before finally inventing a bespoke cocktail created with a mystery box of ingredients.

Nguyen impressed with his Negroni Twist and Kyoto Garden serves, and also triumphed in the mystery box category.
