Spirits firm Milestone Brands has acquired American Born Moonshine from Windy Hill Spirits for an undisclosed sum.

Milestone Spirits – formed in February 2016 by former Deep Eddy Vodka CEO Eric Dopkins and Deep Eddy Vodka co-founder Chad Auler – also recently acquired Dulce Vida Tequila as it strives to expand its portfolio.
“American Born Moonshine is an amazing brand that represents the incredible history of American moonshine,” said Dopkins, CEO and chairman of Milestone Brands.
“Pat Dillingham and Sean Koffel did a wonderful job bringing American Born to life in an authentic way, with quality and detail, and we are thrilled to be adding a brand to our portfolio that I truly feel will be a leader in its category.”
Windy Hill Spirits was established in 2013 to create moonshine that “honours” the “rebel” spirit.
American Born Moonshine has grown distribution to 25 US states and doubled sales volumes over the past year.
“Pat and I are proud that the brand we are so passionate about and the team that has worked so hard alongside us will be a key part of Milestone Brands’ exciting future,” said Koffel.
