Daffy’s unveils £50k Martini with a travel twist

Scottish gin brand Daffy’s has created the “world’s most expensive” Martini costing £50,000 and served with an eight-day, luxury trip around the world.

Daffy’s Ginscapade cocktail is priced at £50,000 and is available from Merchant House until the end of June

Designed to celebrate World Gin Day on 11 June, Daffy’s Ginscapade cocktail is available until the end of the month from Merchant House in London.

Buyers will be travel in style on private planes and chartered yachts on a bespoke journey put together by premium concierge service 360 Private Travel.

“We’ve travelled the world to source the best quality ingredients to ensure Daffy’s is the smoothest and most balanced London Dry Gin in the world,” said Chris Molyneaux, founder and managing director of Daffy’s Gin.

“Thanks to our Ginscapade, our customers can now travel in our footsteps and experience the adventure.

“Anyone who purchases the tipple at Merchant House is in for the ride of their lives, not only will they get to see first-hand the stunning locations where our botanicals are sources, but they’ll also experience the jet set lifestyle – from private jets and yachts to eating and drinking in the world’s best venues. We’ll raise a £50,000 toast to that.”

From London, travellers will head to New York, the home of artist Robert E. McGinnis, who has designed James Bond and Breakfast at Tiffany’s movie posters and the artwork for Daffy’s Gin.

Guests will then fly first class to the Balkan States, where the juniper used in the gin is sourced, before sailing on a private yacht through the Adriatic Sea to the bay of Kotor and then on to Montenegro’s Aman Sveti.

A private jet will then take you to Marrakech where orris root is sourced for the brand, and each person will be chauffeured to the Atlas Mountains to spend three nights in Kasbah Tamadot, Richard Branson’s “most luxurious” destination. Attendees will stay full board in a Berber Tent, where they will be able to enjoy an “exceptional” dining and drinking experience.

Daffy’s senior mixologist and brand ambassador will also stop by along the route to offer guests a tailor-made cocktail drinking experience.

“We’re delighted to be offering this once in a lifetime experience at Merchant House,” expressed Nate Brown, co-founder of the London Bar Consultants.

“Daffy’s Gin continues to be one of the finest on the market, and we are so pleased to be involved in something so special which delves into the internationalism of the gin.”
