Global Spirits to expand vodka presence in US

Global Spirits will work with General Beverage Sales Company to expand the US distribution of Khortytsa and Pervak vodkas.

General Beverage Sales Company is one of the biggest wholesale distributors of wine, distilled spirits, beer and non-alcoholic beverages in Wisconsin and will will concentrate on expanding both brands’ presence in the US state.

“General Beverage has done a wonderful job in introducing our Leaf Vodka brand to the market,” said Steve Ackerman, national sales director, Global Spirits USA.

“We are delighted with their decision to expand upon this success with our Khortytsa and Pervak brands.”

Pervak Vodka is made from both wheat and rye, and has an RRP US$17.99.

Khortytsa Vodka will make four expressions available in Wisconsin, including Khortytsa Platinum (US$13.99 per 750ml), Khortytsa Ice (RRP US$13.99 per 750ml), Khortytsa Honey Pepper (US$13.99 per 750ml) and Khortytsa De Luxe (RRP US$25.99 per 750ml).

“Both brands fill a need in our portfolio,” said Dan Kopina, senior vice president, marketing and sales, General Beverage Sales Co. “Pervak clearly integrates into the craft genre, while Khortytsa is a quality vodka at a terrific price point.

“We’re confident both will do well in Milwaukee.”
