Glen Moray unveils Sherry cask finished whisky

Scotch whisky brand Glen Moray will release a new expression in the UK this summer – Glen Moray Classic Sherry Cask Finish.

Scheduled to launch in July, the new variant is said to have layers of rich and spicy sweetness to complement the brand’s more traditional tastes of butterscotch and lemongrass.

Graham Coull, Glen Moray master distiller, said: “Glen Moray Classic Sherry Cask Finish is a celebration of the age old tradition of maturing whisky in the finest oloroso Sherry casks.

“I select Glen Moray which has been maturing in American oak casks and transfer it to the highest quality Sherry casks for a minimum of eight months.

“The resulting whisky is incredibly rich and satisfying.”

Glen Moray Classic Sherry Cask Finish will be available from 1 July in specialist whisky retailers and Sainsbury’s supermarket stores at an RRP of £22.
