Conviviality celebrates 137% sales increase

Conviviality Retail has experienced a 137% sales increase over the last 12 monthsThe independent alcohol wholesaler acquired Matthew Clark on 7 October 2015, while directors recently approved the purchase of Bibendum PLB Group.
Sales over the last 12 months more than doubled to £864 million, with the firm’s 2014-2015 fiscal sales reaching £364m.

Over the last year, Conviviality Retail opened 126 new stores and closed 34 existing premises taking the company’s current number of stores in the UK to 716 as of 1 May 2016.
Retail sales within franchised stores grew 1.3%, slightly down on last year’s 1.7%.
Matthew Clark’s sales have grown 4.9% since its acquisition compared to the same trading period the previous year, and the number of outlets supplied and customers have both grown 2.9%.
Further updates on the integration plan for Bibendum will be announced in July when the group reports its final results for the year.
