Wemyss unveils spring single cask collection

Wemyss Malts has released six new single cask whiskies for springThis offering comprises a selection from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay, and includes a single cask, single grain release named Rosy Apple Brûlée due to the flavours and aromas identified by the Wemyss tasting panel.
The complete list comprises Shellfish Platter, a 1997 single cask whisky from Islay’s Bowmore Distillery; The Admiral’s Beacon, a 1980 single cask whisky from Islay’s Caol Ila Distillery; Waffles and Ice Cream a 1997 single cask, cask-strength expression from Highlands’ Clynelish Distillery; Chocolate Orange Segment, an 18-year-old single cask whisky from Speyside ’s Glenrothes Distillery; Flambé Fruit, a 1995 single cask expression from Speyside’s Mortlach Distillery; and Rosy Apple Brûlée, a 1988 single cask, single grain whisky from Invergordon Distillery.
William Wemyss, founder and managing director at Wemyss Malts, said: “Continuing on from the first single cask release of the year we hope our customers will be elated with a second selection that truly demonstrates the quality and magic of well-aged whiskies, such as a 35-year-old Caol Ila titled The Admiral’s Beacon.”
Each cask is limited to only a few hundred bottles which will be made available from select retailers in the UK, EU and key Asian markets at an RRP of between £80 and £240.
