Moët Hennessy backs ‘first’ zero fuel plane
By Annie HayesMoët Hennessy has reaffirmed its support for Solar Impulse – the “world’s first” zero-fuel plane which is undertaking an around-the-world flight powered solely by solar energy.
Solar Impulse landed in Moffett Airfield in Mountain View, California last SaturdayThe wine and spirits division of LVMH is an official partner of the project, and has pledged to be “with the Solar Impulse team every step of the way to celebrate every challenge and every success”.
Solar Impulse is the only airplane with “almost unlimited endurance”, capable of flying day and night without fuel and without emissions
By supporting the project, Moët Hennessy hopes to raise awareness of the potential of renewable energy sources while reaffirming its environmental policy, which covers seven key areas: sustainable agriculture, energy, water and effluents, waste and recycling, ecological design, green supply chain and responsible providers.
