Koval Distillery releases Barreled Gin
By Annie HayesChicago-based Koval Distillery has moved into barrel-aged gin with the launch of its newest product, Koval Barreled Gin.
Koval Distillery has launched a barrel-aged expressionA follow-up to Koval Dry Gin which was debuted last year, the new expression follows the same rosehip, juniper, angelica root and coriander recipe, producing “added spiced oak flavours” that come from barrel-aging the spirit in one of the distillery’s whiskey barrels.
The new label is said to reflect “the artisanship of Koval’s process and the complexity of the Barreled Gin”, designed with argyle die-cutting and bronze foil patterns by brand identity firm Dando Projects.
“We wanted the label to maintain the same level of sophistication as the Dry Gin, but with a fresh design and slight colour change that reflects the barrel aging process,” said Dr Sonat Birnecker Hart, president of Koval Distillery.
Koval Barreled Gin is available in Illinois and is set to expand into select national and international markets.
