Cask Liquid Marketing names new chairman

David King is the new chairman of Cask Liquid MarketingIn a deal that came into effect on 1 April, Cask Liquid Marketing has taken control of UK distribution for Crystal Head Vodka and brand extension Crystal Head Vodka Aurora in the UK.
“The brand has achieved a great level of distribution, but the Cask business model will allow us to take it much further, reaching new levels of awareness,” said Stuart Ekins, co-founder of Cask Liquid Marketing.
Following a “highly competitive pitch process”, the company has also won UK importing rights for herbal liqueur brand Chartreuse.
“[Chartreuse is] the world’s oldest liqueur brand, so comes with history, heritage, and responsibility,” continued Ekins. “It already has amazing distribution in the UK, so our role is to increase awareness about how to drink it, and to look to bartenders to help us develop brand creativity with new serves and new occasions.”
David King, former president of San Francisco-based Anchor Distilling Company, has been appointed chairman of Cask Liquid Marketing, with a focus on overall business strategy at the company.
King also previously spent 10 years at Berry Bros. & Rudd as strategy and marketing director.
After working for five years across journalism, digital marketing, social media and client development, Jennie Rae Chuter has been named marketing manager at Cask Liquid Marketing.
Gary Fearn, non-executive director at the company, has now been appointed financial director.
