Brown-Forman names new GTR marketing head

Brown-Forman has appointed Eric Helms head of global travel retail marketingEffective from 1 April, Helms succeeds Tim Young and Jeannine Wise, who will take on further responsibilities within the company.
Young will take up the post of marketing director for Brown-Forman’s interests in India, the Middle East and Africa, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
As customer marketing director, Wise will work to extend Brown-Forman’s emphasis on retail partners across the globe.
Helms first began working for Brown-Forman in 2014 as North American marketing director for Finlandia Vodka and Chambord, before moving on to become brand director for Jack Daniel’s Tennessee and Fire.
Before joining the company, helms worked in marketing roles with Anheuser-Busch, Diageo, Coca-Cola North America and L’Oréal.
On Wednesday, Brown-Forman revealed plans to re-enter the Scotch whisky category and buy BenRiach Distillery Company for £285 million (US$416m).
