Bradley Wiggins bar to open in Lancashire

A bar dedicated to Olympic gold and Tour de France-winning cyclist Bradley Wiggins is to open as part of a new stadium complex in Lancashire, UK.

A new bar in Lancashire has been named after cycling star Bradley Wiggins

The 290-capacity Bradley’s Sports Bar will feature 18 TV screens across four areas, and will serve food alongside a drinks selection.

Wiggins has reportedly endorsed the bar, which is due to open in June 2016 as part of football team AFC Flyde’s new stadium.

“I’ve always admired Bradley Wiggins and what he’s done for cycling, as well as bringing attention to the north and its sporting achievements,” bar owner David Haythornthwaite told the Lancashire Evening Post.

“He’s a great example of where hard work and discipline can get you, in life and sport, and I’m looking forward to welcoming sports fans to Bradley’s in honour of Wiggo and to watch him compete at future events.”
