Ridley and Harrison bottle first whisky

Neil Ridley and Joel Harrison have released the first expression in a new range of single cask whiskies called the Exile Casks.

Neil Ridley and Joel Harrison-Grier have released the first liquid from their Exile Casks range

The first whisky in the line is The Trojan, a 25-year-old expression from the Speyside region.

While the distillery is not disclosed, the liquid is from cask number 3110, a refill hogshead.

The whisky has been bottled at 57.1% abv in a 50cl format. 306 bottles are available from today, priced at £65.

Ridley and Harrison-Grier, who rose to prominence through Caskstrength.net, introduced the Exile Casks concept as a vehicle to “liberate” casks of whisky laid down for blends that no longer exist.

These “forgotten” single casks will be released under the Exile Casks umbrella in 50cl formats to keep the whisky affordable.
