Fever-Tree founders sell £17.7m of shares

The two founders of premium mixer company Fever-Tree Drinks have sold more than £17.7 million worth of shares, according to reports.

Charles Rolls, 58, executive deputy chairman sold more than 1.9m shares for £6.35 each, equating to £12.3m, as reported by This Is Money.

Tim Warrillow, 41, co-founder and chief executive offloaded 853, 816 shares at the same price as Rolls, totalling £5.4m.

Rolls still controls more than 17m shares worth £113.5m, while Warrillow owns 7.7m shares worth £50m.

According to the news site, Fever-Tree Drinks said the sales were “in response to demand from institutional investors” who wanted to buy shares following strong results.

In November 2015, Fever-Tree collaborated with Channel 4 to launch its first ever television advertising campaign, featuring musician Angela Ricci.
