By Kristiane SherryArchitects from Mexico City-based firm Tall Arquitectos have released renders for a proposed cocktail bar perched on top of a cliff in the country’s Sierra Madre Occidental mountains.

Despite its concrete frame, the prospective Copper Canyon Cocktail Bar appears to defy gravity, floating perilously above the Chihuahua state’s Copper Canyon, overlooking the Basaseachic Falls.
With its glass floor, observation deck and a swimming pool, the dizzying watering hole would make a fitting spiritual home for many an adventurous imbiber.
Plans feature an open-air lounge area, a bar and a more formal dining space for those wanting to enjoy a meal in the spectacular setting.
The Copper Canyon Cocktail Bar is the brainchild of Lazaro Gutierrez Cortina Sainz, Leonardo Montero Tello and Sebastian Gutierrez Cortina Sainz, who pride themselves on creating “unique” buildings taking into account the “spiritual and emotional values of the character of each space”.
While the renders are certainly breathtaking, the whimsical watering hole remains a proposal for now – much to SB’s dismay.
