Fashionistas have been flocking to the Big Smoke this week for London Fashion Week, and Bloom Gin collaborated with British fashion designed Christopher Kane to provide bespoke Bloom Elderflower Collins cocktails. Kane specifically chose the drinks for the official after party to celebrate his AW 16/17 show. The gin brand plans to continue its work with international fashion and fragrance houses throughout 2016, including Christopher Kane, Penhaligon’s and Liberty.

Scottish cocktail bar Orchid Aberdeen has been chosen to represent the UK as a finalist in The Reykjavik Bar Summit – the only UK bar to make it through to the global final. The four-day event will take place from 29 February to 3 March and witness 15 cocktail bars from around the world compete for first place.

In a mysterious turn of events, construction workers in China uncovered a giant rock engraved with the word “Glenturret”. But staff at the Scotch whisky distillery in Crieff, Perthshire, along with Chinese officials, are at a loss as to how the two – China and the Glenturret distillery – are connected.

Giffard Liqueurs and Syrups served a selection of mocktails at the Gulfood Dubai trade show, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre this week.

It’s one of the biggest awards shows in the music industry calendar, and there to make sure the official Brits after-party was a night to be remembered was Bacardi, which hosted the event with London’s Soho House. Among the many celebrity faces in attendance was pop star Ellie Goulding.

While Bacardi made sure the drinks were flowing at the Brits after-party at Soho House, Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac looked after the evening’s music.

Following his performances at the Brit Awards – including a collaboration with Justin Bieber – James Bay headed to Soho House for the Bacardi party. Also making an appearance on the night were models David Gandy and Jodie Kidd, Alice Dellal, Pam Hogg, Nick Grimshaw, Reggie Yates, Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldoff.

This week we met up with Snow Queen Vodka to catch up on the brand’s latest news at Hutong, on the 33rd floor of The Shard, where we also had the chance to try the brand’s bespoke lychee-flavoured cocktail that’s served at the bar.

SB also caught up with PR firm Hue & Cry at Rumpus Room, located within the Mondrian Hotel, to get the low-down on the firm’s brands, while drinking in the incredible views across the Thames, including St Paul’s Cathedral and The Shard.

Fentimans has teamed up with events group Zeus to create a VIP pop-up bar for The Six Nations rugby tournament.

Graphic Bar in Soho welcomed 16 gin brands to draw their places for The Graphic Gin Off 2016. The brands included Jensen’s, Martin Millers, Ungava, Audmeus Pink Pepper Gin, Bols Genever, Boodles and Copperhead, Plymouth, Hayman’s, Whitley Neill, Sipsmith, East London Liquor Company, Tarquins Cornish Gin, Boxer Gin, Thomas Dakin, Slingsby and Silent Pool.
