Scarborough has worked for Austin-based Deep Eddy Vodka since near the beginning of the firm’s establishment.
In 2011, he worked as chief financial officer for the vodka brand and was tasked with leading the company’s operations, financial management and planning functions.
Before joining Deep Eddy, Scarborough worked in roles including financial and operations leadership positions in publishing, telecom and ecommerce.
“John is uniquely suited to lead Deep Eddy Vodka into the future,” commented Max L. Shapira, president of Deep Eddy parent company Heaven Hill Brands.
“His knowledge of the DNA and spirit of Deep Eddy Vodka is virtually unmatched.
“Beyond financial and operational expertise, his leadership qualities make him the ideal candidate for leading the long term success of Deep Eddy Vodka and its team.”
US spirits producer Heaven Hill Brands acquired Texas-based Deep Eddy Vodka for an undisclosed sum in August last year.
