Barton 1792 releases Single Barrel Bourbon
By Annie HayesUS spirits producer Sazerac has expanded its 1792 range with a third limited edition expression, Single Barrel Bourbon, created at the group’s Barton 1792 Distillery.
Barton 1792 Distillery has released its third limited edition expression, Single Barrel BourbonThe Bourbon used in the new expression was both distilled and aged on-site at the distillery, which is based in Bardstown, Kentucky.
Bottling took place on a small hand-bottling line that only allows one barrel to be processed at a time.
Master Distiller, Ken Pierce, says the whiskey offers “flavours of butterscotch and caramel notes, delicately balanced with hints of fruit and toffee”.
“The body is rich and lingers on the tongue for a delicate and pleasant finish,” he added.
1792 Single Barrel Bourbon is bottled at 49.3% abv will be available from the end of February at an RRP of US$39.99.
Barton’s previous releases, including Sweet Wheat and Port Finish Bourbons, are now sold out. Further 1792 releases are set to be released throughout the year.
