Guests at the Cîroc New Year’s Eve bash included pop star and UK X-Factor judge Rita Ora, and offered Cîroc cocktails including the Midnight Kiss, made with Cîroc Vodka, apple juice and Champagne, to accompany crispy shrimp, creamy mushroom and asiago grits.
Also making an appearance to ring in 2016 with Cîroc Vodka was Orange is the New Black actress Laverne Cox – one of the many famous faces including The Weeknd, 2Chainz, Amber Rose, Jussie Smollett, DJ Cassidy and French Montana.
The weather on New Year’s Eve in the UK at least certainly left much to be desired, but that didn’t stop revellers queuing out the door at London haunt Mahiki to be whisked away to a ‘tropical paradise’.
The Golden Globes are set to take place this Sunday and to mark the glamorous occasion, Moët & Chandon Brut has designed the official cocktail for the awards. The work of Karen Grill, the Moët Ruby Red gives a modern twist on the French 75 cocktail and is made using Moët & Chandon Brut, vodka, lemon and a tarragon, raspberry and citrus shrub, served in a white wine glass over ice and garnished with fresh tarragon and citrus.
Scotland’s newest whisky distillery, the Isle of Harris distillery, had twice as many reasons to celebrate over New Year by filling its first casks of single malt Scotch whisky. A total of 561 litres of new make spirit were poured into casks one, two and three just before Christmas and are set to mature for a “very long time”.
Revered bartender Erick Castro launched the first episode of his Bartender at Large online series this week with a snippet into his 3,000-mile tour across the US.
Five UK finalists have already been selected from the Diageo Reserve World Class following the competition’s burst one semi-final. To give more of an insight into the competition, Diageo released a video of the burst one finalists in action, who include: Liam Broom of Callooh Callay, Tim Laferla of City Social, Sean Fennelly of Milk & Honey, Kyle Wilkinson of Blind Pig and Scott Gavin of Rosewood Hotel.
