Programmable LED vodka bottle rolls out
By Amy HopkinsMedea Vodka, the “world’s first and only” programmable LED alcohol bottle, is to launch around the world after signing a distribution agreement with Herman Jansen Beverages Nederland BV.
Medea Vodka will now be available in six continentsThe distribution deal comes after Medea Inc was granted a patent for its LED bottle by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
“This International agreement with Herman Jansen catapults Medea to a level unimaginable when we started less than two years ago,” said Brandon Laidlaw, President and CEO of Medea.
“We know we have a great tasting vodka and the technology is unlike anything in the world. What we didn’t know was how incredibly fast we would grow.”
Medea Vodka already had distribution agreements in the Americas and Australia but following its deal with Herman Jansen, will be available in six continents and new territories including Europe, Russia, Asia, Middle East and Africa.
As part of the multi-year contract, Medea has granted Herman Jansen the exclusive license to manufacture, market and resell Medea Vodka.
The brand first launched in mid-2015 with a new Bluetooth capability that uses Apple’s iBeacon Bluetooth technology, allowing consumers to create customised messages that appear on Medea’s LED strip.
The Medea App is available both on iPhone and Android.
