The Black Penny Coffee House is selling shots of Speyside Distillery’s Beinn Dubh for a pennyThe Black Penny Coffee House, located on Great Queen Street in Covent Garden, will offer the addition of a single shot of Speyside Distillery’s Beinn Dubh to any cup of coffee for a penny.
The deal will continue throughout the remainder of January between 10am and 12pm.
Speyside Distillery released Port cask-finished ‘black’ single malt whisky Beinn Dubh, meaning black mountain in Gaelic, in September last year.
The single malt is created using locally sourced barley and is finished in toasted port casks from the Douro Valley in Portugal – resulting in a dark colour.
The Black Penny is inspired by the coffee houses of 17th Century England, named “Penny Universities”, where customers purchased a cup of coffee and took part in intelligent discussions.
