West Coast Whisky Pass boosts Scotch tourism

Scotch whisky fans will rejoice at the new West Coast Whisky Pass that offers users a multitude of benefits, discounts and exclusive promotions.

The West Coast Whisky Pass offers holders exclusive offers and discounts

The Caledonian MacBrayne Hebridean & Clyde Ferries (CalMac) have partnered with numerous whisky firms across the west coast of Scotland to offer West Coast Whisky Pass holders an array of advantages.

For just £25 per person, the whisky pass is valid until 30 September 2016 with no limit on how many times it can be used.

“Whisky tourism is of growing importance and with our ferry routes covering three of the five main producing areas – Campbeltown, Islay and Highlands – we are ideally placed to help make visits memorable,” said Maggie Maguire, CalMac’s UK tourism development manager.

“Our Whisky Hopscotch Trail opens up some of our best known but remotest distilleries to whisky lovers through ferry travel and combining the Whisky Pass adds a new dimension to visitors’ experience.”

Those looking to use the pass simply need to select which whisky partner they would like to visit, contact the firm directly to book a trip and inform them of the West Coast Whisky Pass membership.

Passes can be purchased at CalMac tour shops, on board selected ships, at select port offices, or by emailing whiskypass@calmac.co.uk.

Further details can be found online at www.calmac.co.uk/whisky/partners.
