The Glenlivet Scotch releases festive gift pack

Chivas Brothers has created a Christmas limited edition gift pack for its new The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve whisky in partnership with typographer Alan Kitching.

The Glenlivet is targeting the Christmas gifting market with new limited edition packaging

Marking the second year The Glenlivet has partnered with Kitching – an appointed royal designer – the design features specially- commissioned letterpress artwork and two whisky glasses.

The gift pack also includes a booklet detailing The Glenlivet’s brand story and partnership with Kitching.

“The holiday season presents key gifting opportunities for whisky fans and their families, and The Glenlivet is primed to take advantage of this through our second limited edition gifting series in partnership with Alan Kitching,” said Nikki Burgess, The Glenlivet global brand director.

“Last year, feedback from consumers and the trade was fantastic so we wanted to build on this initial success to craft an original design for The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve that is both bold and eye-catching – the perfect gift for single malt fans this Christmas.”

The gift pack has been launched as Founder’s Reserve continues its global roll out.

First unveiled in October 2014, the no-age-statement whisky was added to The Glenlivet’s range to replace its core 12-year-old expression and alleviate pressure on aged stocks. However, Chivas Brothers said the 12-year-old would not be replaced outright, only in a number of mature malt markets.

Launched to mark The Glenlivet’s one million case sales achievement, Founder’s Reserve has been aged “with the addition of first fill American oak casks”.

The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve gift pack will be available from December 2015 at an RRP of US$40 or local equivalent.
